May Day is NOT a working day – it’s a strike! And we strike for a cause that concerns us all: ✅ Protecting our planet ✅ Securing our children’s future ✅ Defending our rights and life itself!

👉 Why are we doing this?

✅ Our seas are NOT landfills! ✅ Our beaches belong to the people, to nature, to the future! ✅ It’s not enough for them to be FREE – we want them CLEAN too!

🩵 We’ve Adopted Our Seas!

With honor and a sense of responsibility, we proudly announce that since February 17, 2025, we have officially adopted the seas of Glystra – Eucalyptus – Pefkos beaches through the global Adopt the Blue program by the PADI AWARE Foundation!

👉 Adoption does NOT mean ownership. The beaches belong to everyone! But we take on responsibilities for their protection!

🔵💙 What is Adopt the Blue?

✅ A global initiative for marine ecosystem protection, implemented by PADI AWARE. ✅ Goal: Conservation & restoration of the seas through: ✔ Underwater clean-ups ✔ Recording debris for scientific research ✔ Education & awareness

🩵 We remove plastics, metals, tires, nets, and all pollutants threatening marine life! 🩵 We are not just volunteers – we are part of a global mission!

🤿 Clean-Up Action – How Can You Participate?

🔹 Underwater Clean-Up (Divers)

✔ Open to ALL certification levels. ✔ Certified Dive Against Debris divers will be Team Leaders. ✔ ‼️ FREE diving equipment for those without their own! ✔ Specialized cleaning equipment available. ✔ Divers will receive mesh bags and protective gloves.

🩵 Are you a certified diver? Join us for a great cause!

🔹 Coastal Clean-Up (Volunteers on Land)

✔ Using reusable collection bags. ✔ Protective gloves required. ✔ Bring your children along! 🌍

👧👶 Why bring them? 🌍 This is not just a litter collection – it’s education for the future! 💡 They will learn the value of environmental protection. ♻️ They will become tomorrow’s planet defenders!

🎨 Trash Art with a Message: The Wreath of a Second Life

🎨 Creating the first May Day Wreath from marine debris! 🌺 Instead of flowers, we collect plastics 🗑️🥫, nets, and cans. 💡 Highlighting the problem & demanding solutions!

🩵 A living story showcasing the effects of pollution. 👦👧 Live Fairytale & Theatrical Storytelling for children! 🎭 Face Painting – Transform into mermaids & sea creatures!
