🩵 FREE & CLEAN BEACHES – OUR DREAM, OUR GOAL
With a deep sense of responsibility, we invite EVERYONE to participate in a cleanup that is not just an environmental action, but a powerful message of unity and hope.
On 17/2/2025 we officially adopted – through the global Adopt the Blue program of PADI AWARE Foundation – the seas of Glystra, Eucalyptus and Pefko beaches.
🆘🩵This adoption does NOT mean ownership.
It means responsibility.
It means commitment.
It means love for the sea.
As a PADI Eco Dive Center and member of the international Green Fins initiative, we are morally committed to keeping our adopted sites clean, recording the debris we collect, supporting the global scientific community with data, and protecting marine life.

👇 WHY DO WE DO IT?
✅ Because our seas are not landfills
✅ Because our beaches belong to EVERYONE
✅ Because it is not enough for them to be free – we also want them clean!
Glystra Beach, which we have officially adopted, is threatened with privatization. We stand by the local community, without conflicts, with our own “voice” – action.
Voluntarily, peacefully, creatively, dynamically.

🧜‍♀️ PARTICIPATION – INVITATION – INFORMATION
🔹 Underwater cleanup (divers):
– Open to ALL certification levels
– Certified “Dive Against Debris” divers will be team leaders
– Guidance and full FREE equipment is provided, even for those who don’t have their own, by DIVENESS with love 🩵
– Specialized cleaning tools are used (lift bags, ropes, cutters)
– Divers will receive mesh bags and are required to wear gloves
🔹 Coastal cleanup (volunteers):
– Gloves, reusable bags, briefing and guidance
– You can and it would be WONDERFUL to bring your children!
👧 Our children are the hope.
When they clean with us, they learn not to leave trash in the first place.
That is the REAL life lesson!

✨ CLOSING CEREMONY – A MESSAGE THAT WILL LIGHT UP THE SEABED, SENDING A MESSAGE TO THE LAND AND THE SKY
When the cleanup is over, we will dive with Keanos lights into the specially designed mold that forms the message:

The message will light up the night seabed and rise towards the sky, captured by drone, imprinting what we all want to remain indelible:

🧼 Underwater & coastal cleanup
📖 Live voluntary storytelling of Vangelis Iliopoulos’ fairytale (author of the famous TrigonoPsaroulis): “I am the Mediterranean and I am no longer here”.
The fairytale from the Oikologimata series of Patakis Publications will be read by actress Domna Zafeiropoulou from the group Magikes Svores.
📚 Collaboration with Patakis Publications
🎷 Live music evening by Odeio Mousiki Paideia
🌊🎶🌊🎶 Music meets the sea and Odeio Mousiki Paideia, with the band Ground Type, participates voluntarily in the Diveness – Save the Sea action, supporting with its musical accompaniment the message for the protection of the seas.
Melodies and rhythms will unite with the love for the environment, turning the event into a celebration of awareness and offering.

🔠 The company Felizol Art H Felizol – is an innovative construction company for cutting and processing Polystyrene EPS & XPS. They create 3D letters, numbers, logos using Extruded EPS and Advanced Polystyrene XPS, known as FELIZOL.
For our action, showing immediate response to the cause – for the good of our place – they will sponsor the letters: SAVE THE SEA 🌊 which we will illuminate, sending this UNBEATABLE message everywhere!!
Mrs. Natali Kakkava – independent municipal councilor of our area – sponsors ALL the snacks of the volunteers participating in the action, contributing to the cause and promoting the cleanup event as a journalist so that our message travels as far as possible.
The movement FREE BEACHES gathers the valuable hands of coastal volunteers we need to achieve the goal, once again declaring PRESENT in our work and in safeguarding the goods of our land.
The Cultural and Environmental Association Trilogy also gathers coastal volunteers for the cause.
💡 Underwater immersion of the luminous message “SAVE THE SEA” with Keanos lights. The company Keanos will voluntarily provide the underwater flashlights to illuminate the message that will travel EVERYWHERE – SAVE THE SEA!
Educator Anastasia Ioannidi – organizer of volunteer actions and co-founder of the Ocean Library together with Diveness – participates with the storytelling of the tale of the Bogue that saved the Bogue, and organizes the CIGARETTE BUTTS competition with the coastal volunteers. The winning team leaves with a SURPRISE prize!
Mrs. Ioannidi, always voluntarily, is a staunch supporter of environmental actions and proves it clearly at every opportunity.
