Why Ntounis Island?

We had an amazing time during the day… so why not see it at night as well? It will be a completely new place!

Located in the southern suburbs of Attica, the small rocky island “Ntounis” can even be reached on foot. There you’ll find almost private, lace-like beaches and coves, one after another.

The islet is uninhabited and, according to archaeologists, it was once connected to Agia Marina, forming a single settlement, a large part of which later sank. Although small, it has many little coves, both sandy and rocky, with lush vegetation in its center. Many call it a “hidden floating paradise,” as very few know of its existence.

What we’ll do at night

We are not just going for a swim! We’ll explore the underwater world of Ntouni Islet — an experience only divers can enjoy.

We will dive along the right wall of the islet and try to reach its hidden cave, far from the many eyes above the surface.

Locals say that in front of this cave you may often encounter its “hosts”: a beautiful monk seal and a large sea turtle. If we are lucky, we might meet them!

The seabed offers plenty of wonders: huge schools of sardines, salema fish, moray eels, octopuses, cuttlefish, Alicia mirabilis, giant sea snails and much more. The bottom is sandy and rocky, sloping, with caves and small canyons.
