🩵On Saturday 27/09/25 at 10:00 am we kick off a UNIQUE day trip with a DOUBLE dive at the must-see dive spots of Athens!!

🩵Our meeting point is at 10:00 on the boat at the deck of Palaia Fokaia (Google Maps Link) and NOT at the DIVENESS dive center, so we can start directly and without delay, fully geared up for our awesome destination.

Here’s the plan:

Dive No. 1️⃣

👻☠️💀THE SPOOKY FUN DIVE!!!
We dive into the secret “Graveyard” of Stolen Cars in Attica.
That’s where cars end up when they get “old.”

A few facts about the dive spot we’re visiting⬇️

🚗Located in Legrena. While the location is relatively unknown to beachgoers, it’s quite popular among amateur divers. The reason? Its unique underwater landscape, where at depths between 15 and 30 meters, lies an underwater car graveyard!

🚙The spot is an attraction for divers as dozens of car wrecks have become one with the seabed, creating a surreal and haunting sight.

🚌But how did all these cars end up underwater? The answer may lie in illegality. According to police officers specializing in the search for stolen vehicles, it is highly likely that some of these cars were stolen. They explain four main scenarios: illegal racing, theft for parts, theft for criminal activity (e.g. robbery), and “vehicle kidnapping.”

🚐In the first case, after stripping the cars for valuable parts and selling them in the used market, the thieves dumped what was left. That may explain the skeletal remains of cars on the seabed.

🚘The second theory is that these cars were used in crimes such as robberies or even murders, and were sunk to erase any trace. If that’s the case, they succeeded—no one ever looked for them.

🚖Veteran officers support a third and likely scenario. Due to the advanced “decomposition” of the vehicles, showing long-term submersion, they recall the trend of “vehicle kidnapping,” where thieves stole cars and demanded ransom. Some owners paid and recovered their cars.

🚗Those who didn’t pay? The evidence was disposed of at sea.

🚜The fourth scenario suggests the cars now resting with the fish in Legrena Bay got there due to driver error. Some might have been involved in illegal races and lost control on the tight, dangerous curve at the 59th km of the coastal road. (Source: VICE)

No, the gates you see in the photo don’t lead to another dimension…
But to the stunning Arzenta Cave!

🩵The dazzling cave formation, with intense red hues and dark cerianthuses, is waiting to leave us once again… speechless!

🩵A quick look at the KEY highlights of the day:

👻These dives are UNIQUELY interesting and suitable for ALL diver levels, as there will be 2 instructors accompanying at different depths if diver certification levels vary!
(The ticket covers 2 dives. Price remains the same even if a diver chooses to do only one dive.)

🩵Our trip there and back will be on a boat offering amenities comparable only to services abroad.
🩵You’ve surely seen it before in photos from our previous trips.
